Lemon Law- Do I Have A Lemon?
The lemon law does not cover minor corrections such as blown fuses or headlights that do not function off the showroom floor.
What the lemon law does cover is any major defects that may endanger the safety of the driver or passengers in the vehicle. Such cases could include your door not staying shut, the car frequently stalling, or a broken transmission.
To be covered under the lemon law, you must allow the manufacturer or the dealer a reasonable opportunity to correct the problem. If, however, after several attempts they can not fix the problem, you should be able to get a refund or a replacement vehicle, and all of the costs incurred will be refunded.
In order to qualify for lemon law protection, you must be sure to document everything!
